Dear Birthmother,

First let us begin by thanking you for choosing life for your child and considering an adoption plan. You are a brave and selfless woman and if you choose us to parent your child he or she will always know how much you love him or her. We hope through this letter you will understand how excited we are to become parents and how much we already love our future child! Our family, friends, and community are also waiting to shower this child with love. His or her life will be greatly celebrated!

We are Jackie and Steve and we are so excited to become parents! We met in high school and dated for six and a half years before marrying in 1992. We are positive, energetic people who just couldn’t have children on our own. The decision to adopt was an easy one because we love children and have always wanted to become parents. We are faithful Catholics who believe that God has a plan for us and He will send us the child we are meant to parent.

Faith has been a huge part of our life from the very beginning. When we began dating as teenagers, attending mass together was immediately part of our routine. Every Saturday night, we would go to mass together and then out on a date or to a family dinner. We believe that our faith is what helped our marriage stay strong and our love grow deeper through the years. We attend mass every week and we are very active in our parish community.  Steve is on the pastoral council which meets to discuss important decisions in our parish. We are the co-founders of the St. Vincent dePaul Society in our parish which helps the needy of our parish and community. One of our favorite tasks is to organize and serve a hot meal at a local soup kitchen. Be assured that your child will be raised in a faithful home that values helping those less fortunate. Education is important to us. We plan to give our child the best education possible, to nurture his or her talents, and teach him or her about our faith.

Our families are a very important part of our life and we have been blessed with a loving supportive family. Steve’s parents live out of state and Jackie’s live locally. Both sets of parents have been married for nearly fifty years! They are truly an example of what marriage should be. Together we have seven siblings, five of which live locally. We have five nieces and three nephews who are waiting for Aunt Jackie and Uncle Steve to bring home a cousin to play with!

Steve is a loving, caring husband. He is funny, kind, generous, playful, and hard working. He is a true family man who always makes time to spend with our families. He enjoys sports, golf, gardening, home projects, cooking, and classic cars. He has worked as a project manager for a large company for nearly twenty years.

Jackie is a special woman. She is sweet, kind, patient, and gentle. She is a natural with children and they adore her! Her personality makes her successful in her career as a special education teacher where she teaches young children with learning disabilities. She enjoys her work because she loves children, enjoys the challenge, and finds it very rewarding. She enjoys yoga, crafting, crochet, baking, taking walks, and reading.

Together we enjoy travel, music, amusement parks, going out to eat, going on road trips, taking walks, and spending time with family and friends. We love to have company in our home and it is often the place where everyone gathers for holidays, special occasions, or just to “hang out.”  We can’t wait to share our special traditions with our child!

As a couple we have been blessed with so many gifts-love, family, friends, strong faith, a great home, and financial stability. We so want to share these gifts with a child. We know that this is the most difficult decision you will ever have to make. If you choose us, we promise that your child will always know what a loving, courageous person you are.

May God bless you-Jackie & Steve
